We knew that the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl subterraneans would return in the next remakes, but now we know that a considerable amount is also occurring, with an expanded map, “Pokémon Hideaways”, containing Pokémon that can only be found in this area and a new mechanic that means the statues you place on your secret base can affect real-world things.
Check out the new Grand Underground map of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which contains tips on some of these Pokémon Hideaways, as well as showing where you can access each section of the subway from Sinnoh Island:
You can even see some of the Pokémon in hiding, like Psyduck, Swinub, and Slugma, though our view isn’t good enough to distinguish what some of the blob shapes are supposed to be.

By comparison, doesn’t it look like a pile of terrible worms? Well … no, but certainly not almost so handsome.
