One of the most beloved and respected bands in the music industry are The Northern Tigers, a lineup that 10 years ago released the album “Tr3s present MTV Unplugged: The Northern Tigers and friends”, a live production they performed alongside international artists and of which are launching for the first time the videos who were part of this successful project in YouTube.
The material was recorded on February 8, 2011 from the Hollywood Palladium in the city of Los Angeles, and involved artists such as: Juanes, Andrés Squid, 13th Street, Diego Torres, Zach of Rosa and Paulina Rubio. Since then it has been one of the most representative albums of “The Heads of Heads”.
The first single from this record was “Blows to the Heart” where Paulina Rubio and Eduardo Hernández stole the hearts of the scouts: “We are very excited because 10 years ago we recorded the album and to this day it has had quite successful thanks to the audience. On this album there are songs that people remembered again with another type of music, but in the style of Los Tigres de el Nord. We didn’t expect this record to be so popular and that these songs would resurface as if they were new songs. “ shares in an interview with EL INFORMAT Eduardo, who recalls that The Tigers always pose new challenges.
“We’ve always been a band that has enjoyed renewing itself in the music issue, looking for new ideas and new projects so we can stay in people’s taste and give them something different. When we record, we always think about give them good material so that in this case they have good music from The Northern Tigers. “
Last Monday, February 8, they made one to live with Juanes to remember when they recorded with him the subject “The golden cage”.
“He was very happy, he asked us to be able to go back to work, to be able to be at an event to be able to sing ‘The Golden Cage’ live and hopefully soon, because it gave us a lot of excitement. that he would like to sing with us. And so we have been in contact with several colleagues to see what can be done to continue promoting ‘MTV Unplugged’ “.
Eduardo explains that through their social networks they will be informing the audience of other activities they will be doing to continue paying tribute to this record. As an anecdote, Eduardo recalls that when it was his turn to record “Blows to the Heart” with Paulina, he became very nervous, but it was worth it because this collaboration opened the doors to new audiences: “When she arrived in the studio to practice the song, I got very nervous, I couldn’t remember the lyrics, until I adapted to it, but it was a very beautiful emotion and an anecdote that I will never forget. “
On the new plans, Eduardo points out that next Tuesday, February 16, they began to practice and enter the studio to shape their new musical production that will be unreleased: “Comes come, ballads, ranchers and bullfights come, it’s a very varied record, I hope we finish it soon to give them the news of when we’re going to take it out,” he shares that in this new plate no collaborations will come.
On the pandemic, which has stopped them from their live presentations, he points out that they had to take a forced vacation. “On March 14 we, The Tigers of the North, will celebrate a year we do not work, and there is a despair of not being able to go out to work, not being able to travel and be with our audience, because this is the life of us , the group has been working for 50 years, we hope this happens soon “.
He concludes by saying that they recently took part in a campaign in the area where they live to get people vaccinated against COVID-19, so that they are not afraid to do so, as in this way they help to take care of their health.
