Magistrates of the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) were summoned this morning in the Legislative Assembly to the Electoral Affairs Committee for the analysis of the use of table technology after the drill held on Sunday.
Opposition MPs were forceful on Monday in their remarks after the mock trial by the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) in which some faults were detected which will have to be corrected prior to February 28th.
However, the Government insists on not using table technology arguing that the process will not be reliable, but ARENA MPs René Portillo Quadra; and Rodolfo Parker, of the PDC, have another reading around the statements of TSE President Dora Esmeralda Martínez, who suggested that it was better to follow the vote count manually.

“The fact that the drill was not completed yesterday (Sunday) does not mean fraud. The only ones who are talking about fraud at the moment are those who are considered losers and defeated,” Portillo Quadra said.
Parker, meanwhile, explained that when it was agreed to put technology on the table where all parties ran and even the government, no one protested, so he believes that if it goes through the manual process, it will no longer be it has acts of quick counting, nor the paper that is written on and the copies are left for each partisan representation, and that the minimum elements to return to the manual part no longer exist.
“Do you distrust your JRVs? Do you distrust your vigilantes? Your center bosses? Your supervisors? Where you can cheat is the JRV, but if you haven’t noticed, your party (WINS) it will also have a representative in each JRV. Only the losers who are not given the numbers speak of fraud, “said Cristina Cornejo, a member of the FMLN.
Cornejo added that they are clear that, although New Ideas may become the largest legislative faction in the Assembly after February 28, they will not have the results they are waiting for, “so they have to generate an issue of previous fraud “, the ephemelenista deputy has affirmed.
The official New Ideas party starred in an atmosphere of tension at the close of the first national drill held on Sunday by the Supreme Electoral Court.
As a closing of the test of the system of transmission of preliminary results for the elections, the TSE held a press conference and at the end of the question stage the representative of the Supervisory Board of the party New Ideas take abruptly the word to question in the logic of fraud in TSE, as has been seen to be done by WIN and President Bukele.
TSE magistrates explain the use of table technology for elections
This Monday morning, TSE magistrates came to the Legislative Assembly in the Electoral Affairs Committee to explain the use of table technology on election day.
So far, the Court has been training the people who will be on the Voting Boards (JRV) for the use of the technological equipment. The TSE is preparing to use a modern technological system of preliminary scrutiny registration to be implemented in the JRVs.
Asked about this a few days ago, Magistrate Noel Orellana explained that despite the criticism and mistrust that may be given for being the first time this system will be implemented, this technology must ensure more transparency and brevity to transmit the decision of the citizenry, “if we never adapt to implement the technology, I think we will never be able to catch up and we will be left outdated,” he said.

According to the Court, the idea is to use the technological material so that JRV members can conduct the preliminary ballot after 5:00 pm when the election time by the voters ends.
Each JRV will be provided with a technology box containing a laptop, a specific charger, an HDMI cable (to connect the laptop to the projector to be used at the time of the poll), and a scanner.
