The original version of Metro 2033 can be saved for free on Steam

The offer runs until March 15, so don’t postpone

Celebrating a whole decade of Subway – Oh God, has it really been that long? – Developer 4A Games has decided to deliver free PC copies Metro 2033 on Steam this week. It’s free to keep it for good.

All you have to do is claim the game Monday, March 15th at 10:00 am Pacific.

In a fun twist, 4A Games releases the original version of Metro 2033 from 2010, not the Metro 2033 Redux version that was introduced four years later, so if you want to go back, now is the time to act. Some fans prefer the distinctive look of the original rather than the optimized, glossy remastering.

Meanwhile, the rest of the series is on sale right now, including the latest game, Metro Exodus. With birthday discounts, you can get the Redux titles for $ 3.99 each and Exodus for $ 13.59.

Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have expected it Subway be where it is. 4A Games has done well on its own.
