The owner of the Rockaway, NJ restaurant raped a teenage worker, according to police

Last year, a GoFundMe page raised about $ 2,000 for Rob Grow when he closed the Rockaway Township restaurant. Now, the owner of Potbelly’s Cafe is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage employee on several occasions in 2018 and 2019.

Grow, 61, of Rockaway County, assaulted the 17-year-old on several occasions between Dec. 1, 2018 and March 8, 2018, according to Morris County Attorney Robert Carroll.

Grow is charged with second-degree, third-degree sexual assault that endangers a child’s well-being, and two third-degree felonies that endanger a child’s well-being.

He was released after his arrest on Monday and ordered that he have no contact with the girl and / or unsupervised contact with minors other than his own children.

Carroll asked anyone with information about the incident to call his office at 973-285-6200 or the Rockaway District Police at 973-627-1314.

Grow, on his Facebook page, said he was locked in the restaurant when he lost his rent payment in November. When asked how long he would be locked up, he replied, “Always and always my friend.”

A GoFundMe page created to help grow after the restaurant closed raised just over $ 1,900. The page stopped receiving donations in December.
