The performance of the iPhone 13’s A15 chip continues to dominate with Android rivals

A benchmark in what is said to be the GPU of Apple’s A15 chip, intended for the “iPhone 13”, is 13.7% faster than the A14, maintaining Apple’s leadership in mobile performance.

According to reports, a benchmark test of the Manhattan 3.1 GPU shows that Apple’s A15 chip reached 198 FPS during the first round of testing. Still, the second round isn’t that impressive, with a score of between 140 FPS and 150 FPS.

The benchmark results show the performance of the A15 GPU after two rounds of testing. Scores show that the A15 should accelerate its speed after a while, but even if the slowdown is taken into account, it outperforms competitors by a considerable margin.

According to a tweet from a leaker known as “FrontTron,” benchmark tests were conducted on a sample of the A15 purchased from a July batch. The results were discussed at a Korean forum called Clien.

The iPhone 12 has a maximum performance of 170.7 FPS in the Manhattan 3.1 test. FrontTron says the limitation is not a problem, as it exceeds the maximum performance of the A14, although the figures seem to contradict this claim.

Apple is expected to announce the “iPhone 13” with the A15 processor during its September event. This event may take place on September 14, with the iPhone shipped on September 24.
