Oh deer.

Wildlife photographer Lee-Anne Carver told The Guardian that she has seen her white tail fall near her home in the northern Ontario town of Kenora for the past three years.
The animal, whom he named Carrot, is “very gentle and affectionate,” he said.
But last week Carver’s husband noticed that a black arrow with a bright green color had impaled Carrot’s head.
When Carver went out to investigate, Carrot seemed to act as if nothing was wrong, he told the newspaper.
“It was very disturbing to see that,” Carver said. “But he still acted like his normal self.”
While local officials have promised Carver they will not euthanize the carrot, conservation officials and hunters say removing the arrow can be more harmful than helpful, as it is likely to prevent bleeding, according to the report.
Removing it could reopen the wound and cause infection, experts told the Guardian.
“It’s really disturbing,” Carver said. “I want to put my hand up to grab her and say, ‘There, I’ve fixed you, carrot.’ But that’s not possible.”
But a promising development came Wednesday, when officials from the Ontario Ministry of Natural and Forest Resources and the Ontario provincial police managed to cut off the top of the bolt, very close to the deer’s head, Carver wrote in a Facebook page called “Carrot the Magic Deer” – which has attracted 1,181 followers.
The bottom of the screw was not cut, but “the good news is that if the cure occurs as suspected, the arrow will slide freely and finally,” Carver wrote.
“It’s not‘ better ’, even though you can no longer see the bolt coming out of your head,” he wrote. “There is a risk of infection, but again, if all goes as planned, he will be cured and the rest of the bolt will find the way out.”
