As you may have heard, it’s Pokémon’s 25th anniversary on February 27 (this is the weekend). After that, The Pokémon Company conducted a poll asking Japanese trainers to vote for their favorite pocket monster via Twitter. To vote, participants had to share the name of any pocket monster in Japanese on the social media platform.
In the end, more than a million votes were cast, with the most voted Pokémon receiving nearly 69,000 entries. So who was the best? In first place was Dedenne, in second place Cinccino (54,444 votes) and in third place Sableye with 45,562 votes. The face of the franchise (Pikachu) was in seventh place.
