SOMERSET, Mass. – A Massachusetts police officer refused to charge two women accused of trying to steal groceries for the children and bought them Christmas dinner.
Somerset agent Matt Lima responded to a report on shoplifting on Dec. 20 at Stop & Shop, where two women with two young children were accused of putting groceries in the bags of a newsstand. automation without scanning them.
