The price demanded by the jeans for a Deshaun Watson trade was revealed

Report: The price charged by the jeans for a Deshaun Watson operation revealed originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The future of Texan quarterback Deshaun Watson in Houston is still unclear, and if any NFL team acquires him through trade this offseason, he must prepare to meet a very low price.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle tweeted about the asking price for Watson over the weekend

Wowza.

In all seriousness, this asking price is not surprising at all if one takes into account the talent, age and great importance of his position.

Curran: Stafford established New England as a commercial destination

Watson is coming off his best professional season so far. He set career highs in 2020 with a percentage of 70.2 finishes, 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns, along with seven professional low interceptions.

The 25-year-old quarterback has reportedly requested an operation, so that story should dominate the offseason until something happens.

The New York Jets, which McClain mentioned in the previous tweet, are one of the possible destinations for which Watson is speculated.

The Jets could hang Sam Darnold, the 2018 first-round coach, on a potential package, which would give Houston another young quarterback to build. New York has not been very successful in the first round in recent years, so it might not be the worst for them to mortgage a large part of their future to get Watson.

The Jets getting Watson would be a bad scenario for the New England Patriots, who missed Matthew Stafford’s trade and still don’t have a viable quarterback for 2021 and beyond.

The Miami Dolphins are another of Watson’s potential destinations, and that would also be bad for the Patriots when they try to regain their past dominance east of the AFC. The Dolphins have the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL draft and the first round QB Tua Tagovailoa in 2020 to use in any trade, and those are two main assets.

The jeans, if they are really going to change Watson, have to get him a Herschel Walker type transport. You can’t change one of the best quarterbacks in the league at the start of their peak and not get several first-round players to the absolute minimum.
