An angry father was among three men who threatened an Arizona arrest with the arrest of a citizen because he ordered his son to be quarantined due to possible exposure to COVID-19, according to reports.
The trio faced principal Diane Vargo Thursday at Mesquite Elementary School in Tucson.
“I had a video in my face and two more men came into my office,” Vargo told a local NBC News affiliate. “And one of them was wearing zippers. … They were three big men. I was scared. My assistant was scared. ”
According to reports, the student was present during the incident.
Police were called when the men refused to listen to the principal, who said she was following the Pima County Health Department in its decision to quarantine the student for at least a week.
The three men were recording the headmistress and her assistant “and threatening to arrest us,” he told the dam.
Father Rishi Rambaran, 40, was arrested on Friday on charges of violating school grounds, according to NBC. He was later released. The other two men have no children at school, Vargo said.
“I asked them to leave and they didn’t,” he said. “My door is open to talk to my parents. But the way he did it was not good. “
