A professional Call of Duty player has been forced to retire at the age of 25 due to a thumb injury, saying it “breaks” his heart to have to do it to walk away from the game.

“Unfortunately, the injury has returned and it makes it very difficult for me to compete at the highest level against some of the best players in the world. Playing through weakness and pain in the hand is no longer possible.
“I don’t like to compete when I can’t be the ZooMaa everyone knows, loves, and feels that it’s not fair to me or my team to go through all of this again, potentially causing more hand damage.“

Paparatto He said he has met “so many amazing people” through sports and that he has made friends that he will “love” the rest of his life.
