The brilliant PlayStation PS-Timetracker stand-alone playback website has been in turmoil as Sony has banned all of its associated accounts. Members could voluntarily send a friend request to a PSN user to have their gaming sessions registered on the website, but Sony got all the associated usernames earlier this week.
It’s unclear if this was a coordinated effort to try to impede the activities on the page, but that’s certainly how it looks from the outside. The independent website owner is currently looking for a solution and has created a number of new accounts to try to keep it operational. Of course, it is perfectly plausible that they are also banned.
Although the website predates the PS5, where Sony allowed you to view your playback time data, it is probably more accurate and includes general data on which games are currently popular among PlayStation gamers. It would be nice for the Japanese giant to take some of the ideas and incorporate them into its own website, but we believe there are more chances of flying pigs than that.
