The Puerto Rican salsa player Tito Rojas – Telemundo Puerto Rico dies

Captain Teddy Morales, director of the ICIC of Humacao, confirmed this Saturday on Telenotícies the death of the salsero boricua Tito Rojas.

According to information, the singer died this morning at about 12:30 am in the neighborhood Teules de Humacao. Yesterday Christmas, he was sharing in an activity with his family in this same village. Back at his residence he began to feel unwell and stopped at a relative’s house.

He let it be known that he was not feeling well and asked to be taken to the hospital. In the change of vehicles to do the same he collapsed at the entrance of the residence and died. Upon arrival authorities, after a call to the 9-1-1 alerting about the emergency, found the body with no vital signs.

Rojas López’s body was transported to the Institute of Forensic Sciences in San Juan.

Later, singer Gilberto Santa Rosa, also a salsa performer, lamented the death of his partner in a message he wrote on the social network Twitter.

“I still don’t think so … My dear Rooster, we’re going to miss you and remember you in every song,” read part of the message.

Juli Cèsar Rojas López, the singer’s first name, was 65 years old and had a long musical career. He would have performed his hits in various countries in Latin America and the world.
