Puerto Rico ranked in the Men’s FIBA U19 World Cup which will be played in Latvia from July 3 to 11, the Basketball Federation of Puerto Rico (Fbpur) announced on Monday.

The federation explained that after the suspension of the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in both branches due to the pandemic by COVID-19, FIBA used its roster to nominate the countries of America for the U19 World Cup.
In the case of the island, the Selection occupies position number 12, and was name next to the United States, Canada and Argentina.
This will be the third World Cup in this category in which Puerto Rico ranks after its participation in the 2017 and 2019 editions, Fbpur recalled.
