The pursuit of a murder suspect ends in an accident in Pomona

POMONA, California (KABC) – A fleeing driver crashed into a trailer in Pomona, ending a dangerous and erratic chase through Riverside and Los Angeles counties Tuesday evening.

Several law enforcement vehicles were at the scene at the time the murder suspect crashed a pickup truck and surrendered at an intersection in Pomona around 7 p.m. A passenger in the truck also got out and was arrested.

During the chase, the suspect drove to the sidewalk at one point and was about to hit other cars on the road. The suspect also turned on red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road to oncoming traffic.

AIR7 HD was about to chase around 6 p.m., as the driver was traveling at high speed on Highway 60. Before reaching Pomona, the suspect was in the eastern part of the Valley of Pomona. San Gabriel and was driving at over 75 mph with several agents behind him.

Riverside County MPs and California Highway Patrol units were chasing.
