The Rangers place Tony DeAngelo in resignation after an altercation: Athletic

Tony DeAngelo and the Rangers ’last drop apparently came moments after he was on the ice for the goal of overtime that gave Pittsburgh a 5-4 win in overtime on Saturday night at garden.

Three sources have confirmed to Athletic that, indeed, there was an altercation involving DeAngelo and goalkeeper Alexandar Georgiev in the tunnel leading to the Rangers locker room. By the way, Georgiev was removed from practice for “maintenance” on Sunday. The altercation broke down quickly.
