Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s possibly the remaining DLC characters have been leaked. This week, Nintendo has revealed Pyra and Mythra Xenoblade Chronicles 2 they arrive at the game and fill the next slot of Fighters Pass Volume 2, which is slowly but surely approaching. In the process, Nintendo gave credibility to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leaked earlier this year that apparently conveyed the word of Pyra and Mythra being added before they were announced.
The leak in question dates back to early 2021 and claimed that Nintendo was planning a special three-hour concert in 2022 to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. At the time, many instantly canceled the leak due to the fact that it came from 4chan, but while listing the concert’s song list, the leaker put Counterattack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 just after the theme of Sephiroth’s only wing. Why is it remarkable? Well, not only do Pyra and Mythra arrive right after Sephiroth, but that same song was used in the characters’ revealing trailer. In other words, at the time, the leaker suggested characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were as follows. And it turns out that yes.
Now, could the leaker in question have been lucky? Absolutely, but it’s amazing luck, as no one expected Pyra and Mythra. That said, if the leak is genuine – and it looks like it could be – Crash Bandicoot will be next in front of a character from Monster Hunter the Fighters Pass ends.
Of course, for now, all this should be taken with a grain of salt. However, the recent announcement of Pyra and Mythra does Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players re-examine this leak, which may end up being legitimate. It wouldn’t be the first time a 4-channel random leak ended up being real, but it’s certainly not common.
