The genre of sauce is mourning the death of the conger Jimmie Morales, Who accompanied great figures on stage such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Willie Rosario, Juan Luis Guerra and Batacumbele.
Morales, it was reported, died this morning at his home and the causes of death are unknown. He was 64 years old.

The percussionist was for many years the conguero of the “Knight of the Salsa” and maintained a great and close friendship.
Another message on Facebook from user Melori de Morales revealed the physical departure of the musician who was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, but grew up in Bayamón from the age of nine.
“To all who met Jimmie in person or through music, we inform them that he is gone. He flew into the arms of our Heavenly Father. Our family is shattered by this unexpected nightmare. Jimmie died in the his home surrounded by his wife Naomi and his daughter Amanda, ”mentions the message shared by de Morales.
Morales built a four-decade career and accompanied several salsa orchestras, Latin jazz groups and singers.
Among his legacies is the creation of a conga model with his name. The internationally recognized company of percussion instruments REM and in 2005 sent to the market the tumbadoras “Jimmie Morales Signature Series”.
In 2016, he represented Puerto Rico at the “China Drum Summit,” in Beijing City. The event brought together some of the best percussionists in the world. On this trip, he also taught percussion in Taiwan.
A week ago he shared on his social media one of his memorable presentations in 2019.
