The return of Domingo Germán puts the Yankees teammates in a difficult position: Athletic

In baseball, there is usually a culture of keeping your head down and your mouth shut. Players prefer to keep their interpersonal dramas within the confines of the clubhouse whenever possible. It was a rare exception when Yankees reliever Zack Britton answered a question about his teammate, Domingo Germán, with anything other than a simple deviation.

“Sometimes you can’t control who your teammates are,” Britton said. “That’s the situation.”

Britton is an MLBPA representative for the team and one of the few remaining pitchers on the 2019 Yankees staff.
