The reusable Razer mask ventilates the air and amplifies your voice

Projected Hazel, the mask, which is currently a concept and not available for purchase, addresses “the environmental issues of disposable masks, while improving the characteristics of a multi-purpose personal protective cover,” according to a statement Razer Press Release, published Tuesday.

Razer uses vending machines to deliver millions of free face masks to Singapore

The company, a leading hardware manufacturer known for its mice and laptops, claims the mask uses a medical-grade N95 respirator; detachable and rechargeable fans; and air flow regulators.

Fans can be recharged and sanitized by placing them inside the wireless charging box, which includes UV disinfectant lights.

The company said the waterproof, scratch-resistant mask is made from recyclable plastics, further reducing its environmental impact.

The wireless charging box also sanitizes the mask with UV light.

The transparent design of the mask allows you to see on the face of the wearer and the lights inside are automatically activated in the dark. A microphone and amplifier enhance muted speech.

And users can customize their look by activating two lighting zones with 16.8 million colors and a variety of dynamic lighting effects.

“The Project Hazel smart mask concept is designed to be functional, but comfortable and useful for interacting with the world, while maintaining a social aesthetic,” said Min-Liang Tan, co-founder and CEO of Razer.

How eSports became big business for Razer

There is no set date for the release of the mask, as it is still being adjusted, a Razer spokesman told CNN.

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Razer converted manufacturing facilities in China to make face masks.

And in May, the Singapore-based and Las Vegas-based company said it would deliver millions of free face masks to Singapore as the country faces an increase in coronavirus cases.
