A Rockstar Games employee may have just accidentally leaked a new game, which has naturally caught the eye not only GTA i Red Dead Redemption fans, but fans of Rockstar Games’ sleepy IP, such as Bully, Manhunt, i Max Payne. And it also caught the attention of Rockstar Games themselves, because the leak has been plugged since then, but not before the Internet received the receipt.
The leak gets in the way of Ian Gander, a senior Rockstar Games designer who has spent nearly 10 years at the company and recently updated his LinkedIn profile to remove said leak. If you look at Gander’s LinkedIn profile right now, there’s no consequence, but before editing the following appeared: “titles without warning: TBC”.
Unfortunately, this is also revealed by Gander. In other words, while we apparently know that Rockstar Games has an unexpected project underway, we have no idea what the franchise might be, although Rockstar history and all recent rumors and reports suggest that this is likely GTA 6. Still, it could be too Bully 2, a reboot of Manhunt, Red Dead Redemption 3, or even a new IP. Again, probably not, the unexpected game Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto VI, however, this is a trick. In other words, it makes no sense to refer to GTA 6 as a title without warning and TBC, because we all know Rockstar makes a new one Grand Theft Auto this is why some think this could be for an IP that is not GTA or Red Dead.
For now, grab it all with a grain of salt. For now, we are in deep speculative territory, and there is no indication of what this mysterious project is. Of course, Rockstar Games has at least one unannounced game in development because they don’t have games advertised right now. And although there is some reason to believe that it may not be Red Dead or GTA related, most likely it is.
As always, feel free to leave a comment or two to let us know what you think or alternatively call me on Twitter @Tyler_Fischer_ and let me know over there. What do you think this game is without warning?
