The Seattle Seahawks fell to the Denver Broncos Saturday night at Lumen Field, but the score ended up being the least of a concern for the team after two players were retired from the field with injuries in the first half of the game.
Winger Ben Burr-Kirven and great receiver John Ursua suffered knee injuries and were eventually ruled out of the contest.
During his post-match press conference, coach Pete Carroll provided limited updates on both players.
“Both boys were seriously injured tonight,” Carroll said. “We will see what happens to them. It will take a while. “
Carroll gave no firm timetable for the return of either of them pending a new assessment.
Defensive winger Ryan Neal also suffered an injury Saturday night, which Carroll confirmed was an oblique strain.
The Seahawks have a free Sunday and return to practice on Monday, though there is no media availability until Tuesday, when Carroll should have updates from all injured players.
