KANAWA COUNTY, WSAW (WSAZ) – Metro 911 dispatchers say a 2-mile perimeter shelter was in effect Tuesday night following an explosion at the Seymours plant on West DuPont Avenue in Petro. The 10-hour dispatchers said there was “some kind of explosion”, but this time the cause is unknown. No word on possible injuries. As for the Metro 911, the shelter covers everything from the Celian Bridge to the burning fountains. These include Belly, Marmot, Chesapeake and Cellion. According to the Dream County Commission, the Dream County Emergency Operations Center has been activated. The number to reach for emergency calls related to this incident is 304-746-8828. Commerce issued the following statement: “The fire at one of the tenant companies at the Seymours site in Belle, West Virginia, caused a fire. Site responders work to control the fire.
