Bird watchers were in Central Park on Thursday looking for a rare visitor, a snow owl, who was seen in the park the day before.

He was later placed in the North Meadow.

The bird has quickly become one of the city’s main attractions, attracting large crowds to the park despite the low ice temperatures.

Eyewitness News captured the rare snowy Central Park owl on camera more than a week ago, after being seen for the first time in more than 100 years.
