Tampa, FloridaSuper Bowl LV is set: the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s a home game for the Buccaneers, as if their legendary quarterback Tom Brady needed an advantage.

Brady, a six-time Super Bowl champion, has done the unthinkable, bringing another team to the Super Bowl in his first year with the franchise.

On his way is superstar Patrick Mahomes, who has established himself as the face and future of the NFL. This outstanding dynamic machine is taking the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl in a row. It’s not an easy task: The last quarterback to win consecutive Super Bowls was Brady in 2004 and 2005.

Brady, who is old enough to be Muhammad’s father, won his first Super Bowl when Muhammad was in kindergarten. It is a generational confrontation. The old guard catching the new guard. History vs. future. The 43-year-old legend against the 25-year-old boy.

The Feb. 7 game at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium will be Brady’s tenth appearance in the Super Bowl. He already has more Super Bowl victories than any player in league history. Another win would give him more wins than any other franchise.

The Buccaneers defeated No. 1 seed Green Bay Packers on Sunday, 31-26, to win the NFC and a place in the Super Bowl. The Buccaneers will be the first team in Super Bowl history to play the championship at their home stadium.

“The belief he gave this organization that it could be done,” head coach Bruce Arians said when asked what Brady brought to the team. “It only took one man.”

Brady had been with the New England Patriots for 20 years before moving to Tampa.

Muhammad said Sunday that facing Brady would be “a great experience.”

“Going out there and having a chance to repeat and get to do it against the best, I mean it’s something special and I’m excited about the opportunity,” he defeated after the Chiefs Buffalo Bills, 38-24.

Muhammad will be the first quarterback to start several Super Bowls at age 25 or under. Not even Brady has these rights to brag.

November 29 was the last time the two quarterbacks competed with each other. Muhammad and the Chiefs came out 27-24.
