The suspended director of Dignified Community, Juan Maldonado Castro, would be one of the extraditable in the United States for Falcón case, drug trafficking and money laundering in which the Dominican authorities along with the DEA committed more than 80 home violations.
This is based on the statements of the anti-corruption prosecutor, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, who said on Wednesday that the deputy Héctor Darío Féliz Féliz was transporting an extradible in his vehicle, and then the legislator explained that he gave “a ball” to his friend “Joan Maldonado Castro, who is under arrest.
Reynoso alleged that the Perremeist legislator is not detained because he has parliamentary immunity, but that he will be prosecuted before the Supreme Court.
The lawmaker said Maldonado asked him to pick him up and then they did a “political diligence” on his vehicle.
The congressman indicated that “on Monday in the early hours I will be at the Attorney General’s Office so that the investigation is not through the media if it is not done in person.”
He added that in the Falcon action their vehicle, agenda and cell phone were withheld from them.
In addition, he would be willing to make his immunity available for investigation.
