The Tennessee Titans send Isaiah Wilson to the Miami Dolphins

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to change Isaiah Wilson, their first round last year, to the Miami Dolphins, sources told ESPN, confirming a report from the NFL network on Monday.

The Titans will send a selection from the seventh round in 2022 and Wilson to Miami for the seventh round in 2021 to complete the deal, sources said.

The Titans signed Wilson, the 29th overall pick in last April’s draft, for a four-year, $ 11.6 million contract in August. His time in Tennessee did not start well, causing the team to withdraw from him less than a year later.

The University of Georgia right-back played just four snapshots in his rookie season, culminating in his inclusion on the non-football injury list in December. Earlier, Wilson was on the reserve list / COVID-19 twice last year, during training camp and in October.

He also had a couple of run-ins with the law.

The first incident occurred when Tennessee state police broke up an off-campus party that Wilson had attended during training camp. In their report, police documented that Wilson went to the second-floor balcony, where he appeared to be briefly considering jumping. He received a notice of rape.

The second incident occurred when Wilson was arrested and charged with a DUI in September, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a concrete wall.

Titans CEO Jon Robinson addressed Wilson’s condition during a virtual press conference last month, telling reporters he had not spoken to him since he included him on the NFI list and suggesting that Wilson “Decide if you want to do what it takes to play pro football.”

ESPN’s Dianna Russini and Cameron Wolfe contributed to this report.
