Don’t cry over spilled milk cartons.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to TikTok. Social media votes have invented an idiotic trend called the “Milk Crate Challenge,” in which they try to traverse a precarious pyramid of milk cartons, usually with painful results. Kenneth Waddell allegedly first appeared on Facebook this month, with videos of the extinction-induced trend featuring more than 15.3 million collective views on TikTok.
The harebrained feat sounds simple enough on paper: a person tries to do it all through milk cartons stacked in a formation of stairs up and down.
However, the vast majority of attempts seem to end with the fact that the fist has a giant spill.
In this viral clip with 1.4 million views, you can see a string of “Jackass” wannabes trying to climb on top of the Pink Panther to climb a real Kilimanjaro of milk cartons. At various intervals, the rickety structure collapses like a giant failed game of Jenga, causing urban climbers to fall down the stairs with seemingly painful results.

The hobby that kicks the spine came as no surprise on Twitter, where a video showed a professional painfully fooling his back after falling out of the Matterhorn milk carton. The images contain the title: “People who do this as if they have the best health insurance …”
Did you think the challenge wasn’t hard enough on its own? How about this clip of a man trying it climb the makeshift staircase – Just to make a child do it when they are halfway there.

Not surprisingly, medical experts advise against participating in the ridiculous challenge.
“The milk carton challenge is very dangerous and we see a lot of orthopedic injuries as a result of falls,” Dr. Shawn Anthony, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, told the “Today” program. “Injuries can include broken wrists, dislocated shoulders, ACL and meniscus tears, as well as life-threatening conditions such as spinal cord injuries.”
But a Houston woman prepared for the challenge for all that was worth it, successfully climbing the vacillating boxes while wearing lucita heels, becoming the clear winner of the “Milk Crate Challenge.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first potentially dangerous trick that comes to TikTok, which has been seen from people taking doses of Benadryl that cause hallucinations to spinning their crazy cars in time with music.
