The ‘Titomanía’ seizes Amanda Serrano | sports

Amanda “Real Deal” Serrano is clear to whom she will dedicate her victory if she retains her two world featherweight titles on Thursday against Argentina’s Daniela “La Bonica” Bermúdez.

The seven-time world champion said on Wednesday – after passing the scale test – that he will dedicate his victory to the legendary Puerto Rican boxer, the three-time champion Felix “Tito” Trinidad, whom he admires for his value on the flooring.

Serrano will star in a ten-round bout against Bermúdez in the closing of the Ring City USA billboard series, which will be moved in its latest edition to the Plaza de la Cinque Centenario de la Vieja San Juan. The fight will be at 126 pounds.

“Tito Trinidad is always saying good things about me. Dad too. I want to thank them by winning my fight in Puerto Rico and being a great champion,” Serrano told the spokesman.

The seven-time world monarch scored 124.8 pounds, while Bermúdez – with a record of 29-3-3 and 10 KO’s – stopped the scale at 125 pounds.

The Puerto Rican will put into play the featherweight crowns of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the World Boxing Council (WBC). The International Boxing Organization (IBO) vacancy will also be on the line.

That is why Serrano’s inspiration is no coincidence.

With so much at stake, the Puerto Rican wants to show the same warrior heart that the multiple world champion had in the 45 fights as a professional.

“He has the heart of a monster in the ring. I want to do that too. He did great fights and I definitely want to do it with my career too,” said Serrano, who has a 39-1-1 record 29 KO ‘s

Serrano belongs to the select group of unified boricuas champions, in which also it is Trinidad, Carlos Ortiz and Danny Garci’a.

“Now what they can expect are a lot of fists, power and good hooks,” Serrano said of his fight against the boxer in the Argentine city of Santa Fe.

The billboard will be broadcast by NBC Sports.

The evening will be co-starred in the fight in the rooster weight division between the Puerto Rican Abimael “Mans de Pedra” Ortiz (8-0-1 and 4 KO’s) and the Mexican Eduardo “Lalo” Báez (18-1-2 and 6 KO ‘s). It will be eight rounds.

The event – which is hosted by H2 Entertainment and Miguel Cotto Promotions – marks the closing of Ring City USA’s outdoor billboard series on the Island.
