Square Enix surprised viewers during the current release of Nintendo Direct by revealing a brand-new game, provisionally titled Triangle Project Strategy. The game won’t be out until next year, but a demo is expected to be shown in the eShop today.
Triangle Project Strategy (a job title) is the next game to fall under Square Enix’s growing “HD-2D” umbrella, following in the footsteps of 2018 Octopath Traveler with its beautiful mix of old school sprites and high definition environments.
Although details during the Live were scarce, Square Enix describes it Triangle Project Strategy as a “full of choices and consequences” tactical role-playing game, which sounds pretty Emblem of fire to me. Players will gain advantage over enemies during battle with clever use of elevation, flanking, and related attacks.
Square Enix plans to survey players for information on Triangle Project Strategy demo, so look for the opportunity to share your opinions with developers.
