According to data released on Saturday, more than 600,000 first and second doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered in Britain within 24 hours.
Official figures showed that 119,306 first doses and 485,421 second doses were given on Friday. The data also show that 35 more people had died from the virus in the 28 days following the positive test and 2,206 people had tested positive.
In the last seven days, daily deaths fell 29% from the previous week, while cases fell 6.5%.
