The embassy of United States of America in Tegucigalpa will be closed to the public from this Wednesday 30 December and will resume operations on Monday 4 January.
The diplomatic representation reported on Twitter that the break is due to the celebration of New Year and the rescheduling of the firat Morazánico, Which took place in late October, but was suspended by the fateful passage of Hurricane Eta.
The American embassy also wished the Honduran people “Happy Holidays and Happy 2021!”
It must be remembered that because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Services at the U.S. Embassy are limited.
Last October, several non-immigrant visa services were resumed that do not require an interview process at the embassy, and these are as follows:
– Renewal of visas B1, B2, B1 / B2, C1, C1 / D, E1, E2, F1, H2A, H2B and H4.
– First-time applicants for H2A visas.
– First-time applicants: adults over 80 years of age; and children under the age of 14 both parents have a valid B1 / B2 visa.
Emergency requests were also resumed, however, this process does require an interview at the embassy located in Tegucigalpa.
However, regular or first time B1 / B2 (business / tourism) visa appointments are not yet available.
