WEST ALLIS, WASHINGTON (Gray News) – A driver survived a fatal accident when his van veered off the interstate just west of Milwaukee.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation video shows the truck hit a snow bank Saturday morning and then passed over a barrier wall.
The pickup dropped 70 feet on Interstate 94 westbound, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
“When the deputies arrived, they found the red truck upright in the right-hand lane of the I-94 lanes heading west. Two citizens were at the scene providing assistance to the lone occupant, “the department’s Twitter account said.” The driver was conscious and breathing and showed no signs of deterioration. “
Authorities took the driver to a local hospital.
