The video captures the moments before the attack by Cuomo staff

The exclusive video obtained by The Post shows the moment just before a woman in government Andrew Cuomo was hit in the head by a homeless man in broad daylight in Manhattan.

Creepy images show the man sneaking up behind the awake Lisa Cavanaugh, a 51-year-old employee, as he walked down Third Avenue, near 48th East Street, around 2:15 p.m. Christmas.

At one point, the suspect, identified by police as Christopher Guzman, 28, appears to be reaching Cavanaugh and walking almost beside him for a second, while carrying a large block of ash.

The attacker falls back behind Cavanaugh before lifting the piece of concrete over his head and suddenly running towards her towards the sky, hitting her on the head and leaving her out temporarily.

Cuomo’s staff, who help with recruiting and appointments for the governor’s office, needed stitches to close the 2-inch-deep wound in his head. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries, sources said.

Guzman, who told police he lives in a homeless shelter on 35th Street West in Manhattan, has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault in the horrific attack.

Cavanaugh is believed to have been going from house to house from work at the time of the assault, which happened in front of a construction project. Cuomo’s Manhattan office is about six blocks from the scene.
