Seven university students were killed and four were injured during a tragic incident in Bolivia when a railing collapsed that dropped them from a fourth-floor balcony.
A wild video of Tuesday’s incident showed a mass of El Alto Public University students packed onto the balcony before the railing gave way.
The tragedy happened in the university’s financial sciences building as students tried to enter an auditorium to hold an assembly.
The images, obtained by The Sun, also showed a young woman pushing another near the railing moments before it collapsed.
Bolivian police commander-in-chief Jhonny Aguilera Montecinos said Wednesday that the woman seen in the fight will be questioned as part of the investigation, local media reported.
Montecinos also attributed the cause of death to the victims as “multiple trauma.”
“We regret the tragedy at ElAlto Public University (UPEA), where there were several deaths and injuries,” said Bolivian President Luis Arce wrote on Twitter.
“Our deepest condolences to the people of El Alto and the families who suffer. We look forward to hearing from you soon. “
