The viral video of astronauts making DIY pizza in outer space will amaze you

There is no denying the fact that pizza is a popular and versatile dish. Dining rooms around the world enjoy Italian delicacies in a variety of ways. There are a number of toppings that can be used in the preparation of the dish. But can you imagine the pizza being prepared in outer space? A French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, has lived himself and his fellow astronauts aboard the International Space Station. The group of seven astronauts enjoy a “floating” pizza party, with DIY pizzas prepared on board the station. Take a look:

The video of the pizza party was shared on Instagram by @thom_astro, where it has received more than 727 thousand views and thousands of comments. “A night of pizza floating with friends, it almost looks like a Saturday on Earth. They say a good chef never reveals his secrets, but I made a video so you can be the judge. All but the pineapple, that would be a crime serious in Italy, “read the title of the publication.

In the 24-minute clip, we see the astronauts assembling their pizzas starting at the base. Then the base is topped with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings like pepperoni. Throughout the exercise, the pizzas float in space and make the video a surreal clock. The pizzas are wrapped in foil and baked, after which the astronauts are represented with the delicious delicacies.

The pizza kits were part of a space station supply mission, which was launched last week. Other food items on board the 3,700kg shipment include fresh kiwis, apples and tomatoes.
