Monday for his leadership in launching the coronavirus vaccine.
The White House Twitter account responded to an ABC News video in which McConnell called on Republican men to overcome informed hesitation. This is the third time in recent days that McConnell has made such comments, amid polls showing GOP male voters are less likely to get vaccinated.
“I saw on some show last week that Republican men, curiously, might be reluctant to get the vaccine. I’m a Republican man and I want to tell everyone, we have to get this vaccine. Those reservations have to be set aside.” McConnell said in the video.
“Senator McConnell is right, and we thank him for his leadership. It’s important that all Americans do their part and get vaccinated when it’s their turn,” the White House wrote.

A survey by The Kaiser Family Foundation found that while enthusiasm for vaccines has continued to rise in several different groups, 30% of Republicans in March said they would “definitely not get vaccinated,” indicating few changes from the month before February.
Echoing what several health experts have said, McConnell said the herd’s immunity must be achieved to end the pandemic, and urged people to get the vaccine order to reach the threshold of the pandemic. 75% needed.
“As a Republican, as soon as it was my turn, I took the vaccine. I encourage all Republican men to do this,” McConnell said during an event in Kentucky to promote the use of the vaccine. “Therefore, there is no good argument for not getting the vaccination. I encourage all men, regardless of party affiliation, to receive the vaccine.”
Several polls have shown that Republicans lag behind most other groups when it comes to preparing to be immunized against the coronavirus.
