After this Friday’s day that marked the 16th day of action in the 2021 MLB season, the New York Yankees they have the worst record in the American League and the third ugliest in all the Major Leagues, yes, hard to believe but it’s real. The ‘Bronx Bombers’ have a mark of 5-8 number 15 in the ‘young circuit’ and are therefore in the basement of the East Division.
The team led by Aaron Boone is half a game low for the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles (6-8). Even sadder is that in the last 10 games, NYY has gone 4-6 and on the street they have lost the last three. It’s the first time in 23 years that the Yankees are the worst team in the American League:
To make matters worse, the Yankees have a negative run both at home (3-4) and on tour (2-4) and have scored fewer runs (50) than they have received (54), so you can’t with that difference of -4.

Not even the wraths of the Central and Western Division of the American League have as ugly a record as the Yankees: Minnesota Twins go 6-8, just like the Texas Rangers, so they have half a game lead over NYY.
Overall (all MLB already considering the National League), only the Washington Nationals (4-7) and Colorado Rockies (3-10) have a worse mark than the Manhattan Mules, who by the way are tied with the Chicago puppies (5-8).
How long will the Yankees have the worst record in the ‘Big Tent’ ?.
