Like I said, is a bit far behind and playing older Yakuza games in 2021 and not just because of the more rigid animation and lack of first-person perspective. PC versions of Yakuzas 3, 4 & 5 they also have (or had) some technical hiccups as well.
A few weeks ago, Modder Silent, we covered a few years ago doing almost the same thing Yakuza 0—He posted his own patch for Yakuzas 3 & 4, which fixed things like overly high CPU usage and crashes that happened at the end of a fight with a heat move (the ideal way to end a fight!).
Sega released its own official patch that did … mostly the same things! With all that fixed, it was time to take a look Yakuza 5, where it has managed to fix issues such as, once again, excessively high CPU usage, dynamic resolution issues, and a strange error in which anyone with non-ASCII characters in their name would be blocked if they used the game.
Maybe Sega will come later and fix those that have an official update, but if they don’t or if you want to fix them now, you can download the unofficial patch from Silent here.
