Rougned Odor is on his way to the Yankees.
The Yankees on Wednesday traded a pair of under-27 players for the 27-year-old intern, a source confirmed. Odor was appointed to be assigned by the Rangers before opening day and has two years and $ 27 left on his contract, and Texas is expected to recover much of it.
It is unclear what role the left-wing Order will play in the Bronx. He’s only played second base for the most part, and not very well, and his offensive production has dropped in recent years.
Odor signed a six-year, $ 49.5 million extension four years ago, but it doesn’t build up too much, though it has shown power, getting three homers three times, the most recent in 2019.
