Cuban musician Efrén Rubén died in the United States, his manager, Danny Jacomino, reported on Facebook.
“My brother, the artist Efrén Rubén, ceased to exist on the night of December 25 due to a (traffic) accident, which we are not absolutely clear about,” Jacomino said.
“He left us very young, with a lot of things to do. I ask them not to speculate, they will already know exactly what happened,” he added.
Efrén Rubén was part of the band of Frank Delgado and Moneda Dura. This year he released his first solo album, it’s too much.
“My dear child, your departure has left me breathless. Light for you, Efrén Rubén,” Frank Delgado wrote on Facebook.
The artist participated in the virtual ceremony of the Latin Awards Chicago in August, where he was recognized as Talent Revelation 2020. In December he premiered his Christmas song “The Train of Joy”.
Efrén Rubén was born in Ciego de Ávila and has lived in Miami for many years. He left two daughters and his wife.
The accident is under investigation and its manager will give more details.
