There are already 91,200 AstraZeneca vaccines in the country from South Korea

The Minister of Health, Daniel Rivera, on Tuesday led the reception of 91 thousand 200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines, on a flight from Colombia, to continue the coronavirus vaccination program.

This lot comes through the COVAX mechanism of the Pan American Health Organization, with the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. This lot comes from South Korea, and is priced at $ 4 with 27 cents each, for a total of 390 thousand dollars that the Dominican state has invested with the COVAX program.

Asked when these vaccines will be used, the minister said it will be announced later, because this type of vaccine has a different cold chain than Sinovac.

The vaccines arrived at the International Airport of the Americas on a Tampa Cargo flight.
