A judge of the Court of First Instance of Aguadilla determined probable cause for the arrest of a 36-year-old mother for abuse and ill-treatment against her three minor children, the Department of Justice reported today, Saturday.
According to the agency, the judge Juan Guzmán Escobar set a global bail of $ 60,000 and electronic monitoring at Shenia Maria Gaither, Who could not lend such an amount and was admitted to prison.
The facts go back to December 9, 2020 and during the years 2019 to 2020 in Rincón and Aguadilla. Defendant Gaither allegedly had a pattern of physical and psychological abuse against her 3 minor children, which was repeated on countless occasions. It wasn’t until one day that one of the minors managed to run away and a citizen offered her help and took her to the Police Headquarters.
