Secretary of Justice Domingo Emanuelli Hernández and Caguas District Attorney Aracelys Pérez reported that Judge María Rojas Prim of the Caguas Court of First Instance determined probable cause for arrest against William David Marcano Hernández, 47, for the triple murder of three 19-year-olds in Caguas.
He was also charged with attempted murder and violation of the Weapons Act.
Judge Rojas Delgado set a global bail of $ 2,750,000 against Marcano Hernandez, who was on the list of most wanted in Caguas jurisdiction by Puerto Rican police for a double murder he had committed in 2018.
The investigation was conducted by prosecutor Ana María Martínez Orama in coordination with agent Lizandra Aponte Rodríguez of the Homicide Division of the Caguas CIC Negotiated of the Puerto Rico Police.
The events took place on the evening of January 19 at the former Moisty Skate and Family Park.
It was learned that the youths were inside an abandoned park when the accused surprised them and shot them with a firearm killing three of them, two managed to escape and were ill · Injured during the incident.
Marcano Hernández was charged with three counts of rape in Article 93 Murder; two charges for Article 93 Assassination in the form of Attempt; a charge for violating Article 6.05 Carrying, Transporting or Using Unlicensed Firearms; -five charges for 6.14 Firing or Aiming Firearms.
Marcano Hernández was sent to prison for failing to provide bail.
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for February 8, 2021.
