
State project to reopen: California’s blueprint for a safer economy upgrades level allocations today and local counties stayed where they were. Tuolumne and Mariposa are currently at the Orange level, a less restrictive level than Calaveras and Stanislaus who are at the Red level. Gov. Gavin Newsom said the Blueprint system could disappear completely on June 15 if cases continue to decline and the number of vaccinated individuals continues to rise. The state framework for the week ending April 3 for Tuolumne was 1.8 cases per 100,000 population compared to 2.5 cases and 1.8% of the positivity rate of Tuolumne. the test from 1.2%. The Calaveras rate stood at 2.7 of the 7.1 case rate and the test positivity rate of 5.5% increased by 4.1%.
Tuolumne County – Tuolumne Public Health reports two new cases of COVID. There are currently no hospitalized cases, six active. Tuolumne County has a total of 4,058 cases divided between 2,642 community cases and 1,416 cases of Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) inmates, there are currently no positive COVID-19 inmates in prison. The total number of community cases released from isolation is 2,572 and the total number of tests administered is 86,911. The county report lists 32,167 doses of vaccine administered in Tuolumne.
Tuolumne Public Health recommends getting vaccinated, wearing a mask, washing your hands, getting away physically, avoiding congestion and not going to work or school when you are sick, while providing layers of protection to each person, their loved ones and the community as in the county has less restrictive levels and more activities are opened up.
Calaveras County – The Calaveras public health report had four new cases of COVID-19, with a total of 2,045 cases in the county and an increase in active cases from two to 14 and from two to 1,978 recoveries. No Calaveras resident with COVID is hospitalized. In total, there were 949 men, 1,078 women and 18 without gender infected with COVID-19. The total number of people over the age of 65 identified with COVID is 445 since the pandemic began. Skulls reports 25,837 donated vaccines.
Butterfly County – Mariposa reported today a new case of an 88-year-old woman infected by person-to-person transmission. Mariposa has three active cases and one resident is currently in hospital with COVID. Mariposa has had 417 positive points in total and remains in the Orange teir.
Vaccines – People must register on MyTurn at https://myturn.ca.gov to receive notifications from upcoming vaccination clinics and schedule appointments. You can also call 833-422-4255. The Tuolumne Public Health Clinic is scheduled for April 22ndnd is open for appointments via MyTurn, Calaveras Public Health has been using the system for over a month and Mariposa is also using it now. Public health notes until April 15th, appointments will be limited to groups eligible throughout the state: over 50, 16-64 years with health conditions and identified sectors until April 15th when eligibility will be open to anyone over the age of 16 (Pfizer), over the age of 18 (Moderna or Janssen). Tests: The Mother Lode Fairgrounds is open Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., closed Friday and Saturday.
