The end of the year is always an awkward time to release new music, especially during a pandemic. Christmas 2020 landed on a Friday, the typical day for the release of the new album. While it was dry, for the most part, the long-awaited second-year Playboi Carti album came in full of 24 songs.

Red Lotta whole it was almost two years in manufacture. The rapper has had fans on the edge of his seats waiting for his release. And while he’s been a star in his own right, he seems to be WLR certifies Playboi Carti as the main giant. Immediately after its release, first-week sales projections emerged and were quite high. Industry forecasts predicted it would be hitting between 125,000 and 135,000 in its first week, reaching Carti its first No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

Keep in mind that Taylor Swift’s latest album also appears strong on the charts, so it seemed that even with high projections, there was a possibility that she wouldn’t be able to reach No. 1 spot. According to Hits Daily Double, Carti’s latest album made under its initial projections, although essentially Carti is basically based on maintaining the top spot on the Billboard 200. With 110k-115K units moved, Carti is sure to hit the charts this week, marking the first album number 1 of 2021.

Meanwhile, that of Lil Durk The voice has advanced from 65k to 70k in its first full week, making Durk number 3 on this week’s chart.
