The Department of Health reported that 73 municipalities on the Island are at the high community transmission level of covid-19.

The municipalities in the level of High Transmission until the 20 of April are: Adjuntas, Aguadilla, Good Waters, Aibonito, Arecibo, Arroyo, Añasco, Barceloneta, Barranquitas, Bayamón, Red Head, Caguas, Camuy, Canóvanas, Carolina, Cataño, Cayey, Ceiba, Ciales, Coamo, Comerío, Corozal, Culebra, Daurat, Fajardo, Florida, Guayama, Guayanilla, Guaynabo, Gurabo, Guánica, Hatillo, Formiguers, Humacao, Isabela, Jayuya, Juana Díaz, Joncs, Lajas, Lares, Les Marías, Les Pedres, Loíza, Luquillo, Manatí, Maricao, Maunabo, Mayagüez, Moca, Morovis, Naguabo, Naranjito, Orocovis, Patilles, Ponce, Quebradillas, Racó, Riu Gran, Sabana Gran, Salines, Sant Germán, Sant Joan, Sant Llorenç, San Sebastián, Santa Isabel, Toa Alta, Toa Baixa, Trujillo Alto, Utuado, Vega Alta, Baix Segura, Yabucoa and Yauco.

Schools in these municipalities will have to remain closed, although the governor has not yet indicated when face-to-face classes will resume again.

Vieques is the only municipality in low transmission level. Meanwhile, the municipalities in the level of substantial transmission are: Aguada, Cidra, Peñuelas and Villalba.

Today, the Department of Health reported 11 additional deaths from covid-19, as well as 799 new positive cases between confirmed and probable. With this, the accumulated figure rises to 234,733 cases and 2,224 deaths, between confirmed and probable, since the pandemic began.
