Use of mouthpieces:

All people over the age of two should wear surgical mouthguards and in the case of adults over the age of 60, it is recommended that they use the N95. “This given the emergence of new variants and contact with people from different backgrounds in enclosed spaces, which despite the ventilation of the aircraft, forces us to extreme measures,” said the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz.

Travelers are also advised to bring multiple mouthpieces to replace during the flight. When the flight is longer than two hours, it is recommended to change the mouthpiece when it is dirty or wet.

That is why, said Fernández, the recommendation is reiterated to travelers who have had positive tests in the last 14 days, have been in contact with a suspected case of covid-19 or have symptoms, will not be able to travel.
