NASA continues to release new images from the telescope, but for its 30th anniversary, the space company really wanted to provide a treat for space fans.
So, in commemoration of 30 years of Hubble, NASA has released more than 50 Hubble images that will amaze you with 30 unique features of the night sky. These pictures depict star clusters, galaxies and other incredible scenes that are part of Caldwell’s list. The Caldwell Table is a collection of views that can be viewed using amateur astronomical gear, including binoculars and entertainment-level binoculars.

Images were added to the online repository for hubble images of Caldwell table objects. As NASA explains in a new blog post, this new image debris raises the number of Caldwell objects observed by Hubble to 87. There are a total of 109 objects on Caldwell’s list, so Hubble found most of them, and some really significant details.
Due to Hubble’s extensive field of view, some of its images do not capture the fullness of Caldwell’s object, sometimes instead of clusters of young stars in the hands of a spiral galaxy, stars in the suburbs of a cluster or a zombie star in the heart of a nebula. But in other cases, one mosaic of Hubble observations creates a complete or almost complete portrait of the celestial wonder.
NASA has a very simple tool to explore all of the Caldwell objects discovered by Hubble. It is available online and acts as the largest map of the sky. You can zoom in on specific objects such as galaxies and nebulae, as well as asterisks.
“While Hubble describes images elegantly, Caldwell can observe objects using moderate ground-based telescopes, although some are more challenging targets than others,” NASA explains. “Many of the deep celestial objects on this list are bright enough to be seen with a telescope, and some are visible to the naked eye. Regardless of the instrument of view, Caldwell objects are rich in history, fascinating to science, and fun to observe. ”
